Cartesia - out now

‘Cartesia’ is Vincent Salgueiro’s debut EP release out on all streaming platforms on the 10th December 2021. It’s a solo produced instrumental project consisting of a hybrid of acoustic and electronic material with a soundtrack feel. The release of Cartesia follows Vincent’s work on several short film and video game soundtracks and marks his first venture into solo work. ‘Cartesia’ juxtaposes organic and artificial sound in a sonic exploration of Cartesian Dualism as it relates to mortality and the digital age. Contrasting sources of sound gathered through studio engineering, field recording and analogue synthesis are performed and woven together to create the dense atmospheric soundscapes. Despite heavy focus on improvised performance, Cartesia’s production took place over the course of a year due to its conceptual, bespoke, explorative nature.
